We said a tearful goodbye to the kids earlier this week as they drove off with Grandma and Grandpa for a few weeks. They’re headed across the country while we tackle everything: getting our current house ready to sell and getting moved into the new house (!!).
We’ve been quiet about the move because we were waiting for closing—which is officially DONE. I can’t wait to share more with you!
Now that the girls are off adventuring, it’s just me, Stuart, and baby. Stuart officially finished residency and graduated this weekend (cue all the confetti 🎉).
He’s got the rest of the month off to help us move—which is great because I’m currently operating at like 25% capacity, thanks to my new tiny boss who demands I sit down most hours of the day.
Grandma came out before she left and was an absolute maniac (in the best way). She helped us pack and deep-clean everything: garage, storage, kitchen, laundry room, office cupboards… all of it. The garage is now basically wall-to-wall boxes. We’re keeping up all our furniture and decor for staging, but packing up everything else in between naps and snack breaks. If you want to catch a glimpse of her in action, check out my latest reel. A lot of you asked what steamer she used. It’s pricey but it’s worth it.
After graduation, we headed to St. Louis for a few days to meet with a contractor and see if we can pull off something big we’ve been dreaming about for the new house. Not quite ready to spill those details yet, but trust me—if it’s feasible, it’s gonna be exciting.

Once our house is listed and (fingers crossed) under contract, we’ll make the full move to St. Louis and start settling in. Then the girls will return from their Utah adventure and we’ll all be back together again—hopefully with boxes mostly unpacked and a working kitchen.
In the meantime, I’m squeezing in blog work during baby naps and finally finishing up Malcolm’s room reveal—so keep an eye out for that this week!
