I recently gave my guest bathroom a fabulous makeover, and I’m thrilled to share my top small half-bathroom decorating ideas and tips with you! I was impressed by how realistic these plants look. The smaller succulents are perfect for the sink and the back of the toilet, while the larger ones fill out the floating shelves I built.
Match Your Metals

I started with a modern-style towel ring and toilet paper holder, both of which were inexpensive and easy to install. From there, I added a gold faucet and a new light fixture. For instance, I found a larger piece of art that looks like an antique painting but was actually a fantastic find on Amazon! It’s the perfect size for the wall—any bigger, and it would overwhelm the room; any smaller, and it would look out of place. The smaller artwork I found is great for accenting the items on the floating shelves.
When choosing artwork for a small half-bathroom, focus on the scale and the amount of space you have. Pick pieces that fit the space but still leave room to breathe.
Don’t Forget About the Floor
Just because you don’t have a lot of floor space doesn’t mean you can’t dress it up a little. I added a soft, plush bath mat with a vintage crochet border, which works beautifully in this room.
On top of the small rug, I placed a wooden stool made from bamboo. It has a dark stain that looks elegant against the light-colored bath mat and vanity. The stool was easy to assemble, waterproof, and sturdy enough for both kids and adults. I’m so impressed with this little addition!
