1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 lemon, halved

Parmesan cheese, to taste

Instructions

Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan. -
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts:
Place the halved Brussels sprouts cut-side down in the bacon drippings. Cook over medium-low heat, covered, for about 8 minutes until tender and caramelized. -
Season and Combine:
Uncover and season the sprouts with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and add the cooked bacon back into the pan, reserving some for garnish. -
Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish, top with the reserved bacon, and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
