This bold and hearty brisket chili is packed with smoky flavor, tender chunks of brisket, and just the right kick of spice. It’s the ultimate comfort food—perfect for game day, cozy nights, or feeding a hungry crowd!

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 cups smoked beef brisket, chopped
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp chipotle seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 – 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 – 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 – 15 oz can of kidney beans
  • 1 – 15 oz can of black beans
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chicken stock

Instructions

  1. Sauté bacon, then remove the cooked bacon from the pan and set aside.
    • 3 slices of bacon, diced
  2. Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic to the pan with the bacon drippings and cook until soft.
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 1 red bell pepper, diced
    • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  3. Add meat and dry seasonings. Cook for one minute.
    • 3 cups smoked beef brisket, chopped
    • 3 tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tbsp cumin
    • 1/2 tbsp chipotle seasoning
    • 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika
  4. Rinse and stir in the beans. Stir in the rest of the ingredients (including the reserved bacon) and deglaze the bottom of the pan. 
    • 1 – 15 oz can of kidney beans
    • 1 – 15 oz can of black beans
    • 1 – 15 oz can diced tomatoes
    • 1 – 15 oz can tomato sauce
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 cups chicken stock
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes.
